Title Insurance Company Receives Highest Status for the Eighth Time
Santa Ana, October 9, 2023 - Orange Coast Title Company and its family of companies (OCT FOC) which includes Real Advantage Title Insurance Agency, is a leading provider of title and escrow services. The company is pleased to announce that it has once again received a ‘no exceptions’ letter for SOC 1 & SOC 2 compliance in an audit conducted by Baker Tilly, a renowned accounting firm. SOC (Security Operation Center) certifications are a way to validate the maturity and effectiveness of an organization’s security operations. They show that an organization has the ability to detect, respond to, and remediate cybersecurity incidents. This achievement marks the eighth audit of this type where OCT FOC achieved the highest score attainable according to the Best Practices outlined by the American Land Title Association (ALTA).
The SOC 1 & SOC 2 audit examined Orange Coast Title Company’s control policies, protocols, and procedures in alignment with ALTA’s stringent ‘Best Practices’ standards.
Orange Coast Title Company and its Family of Companies maintain a Corporate Administrative Committee, comprised of employees carefully selected by the company’s Executive Committee. This committee conducts internal audits and implements policies throughout the year, to ensure strict adherence to ALTA’s Best Practices. By adhering to these practices, OCT FOC provides consumers with a trustworthy and secure environment for their significant real estate transactions which is essential for securing Non-Public Personal Information (NPI). This focus on data security is crucial to providing clients with peace of mind during what could be the largest transaction of their lives.
