Timeline of Growth

  • 1974

    Orange Coast Title (OCT) was established by John Marconi. Over the next many years, OCT expanded into almost every state.

  • 2010

    Real Advantage Title Insurance Company was created to serve OCT companies expressly.

  • 2015

    Russ Smith was recruited to lead the expansion of the OCT Family of Companies into the state of Utah in Park City, UT, in November. It began with an escrow branch, two escrow officers, and an in-house title plant.

  • 2016

    Real Advantage Title Union Park opens in July, focusing on Cottonwood Heights and the mid-valley.

  • 2017

    In May, Real Advantage Title opened its first Davis County location in Clearfield

  • 2018

    The Corporate Office was established in Park City, Utah in March near the Park City escrow branch.

  • 2019

    Continuing the Utah expansion, Real Advantage Title expanded into Pleasant Grove in October and Sugar House in December. In November, John Lish was hired as in-house General Counsel.

  • 2020

    In April, Real Advantage Title opened a new branch to serve the Daybreak community.

  • 2021

    Expanding again, Real Advantage Title opened the South Ogden and Orem branches in June and September, respectively.

  • 2023

    In order to serve southern Utah, Real Advantage Title opened its St. George location.
